The Furry Babies Round-Up

Hi babes,
Whilst we're talking about animal updates here's another one for ya.

- Mousti the cat is still looking fabulously fat.
- Louke (Anais' parents blond dog) got very ill a few weeks back. He nearly died from dehydration from a virus or even poisoning we don't know but we nearly lost him. Luckily he made it. We did find out he is even older than we thought. He is already 16 years old but still looks as cute as a puppy.
- Pinky the turtle is as needy as ever. Below you can enjoy a picture of her in the bathtub.
- Last but not least Ganache still loves snuggling with this human. Proof is in the picuteres.

The Furry Babies Update - Jack

Hi babes,
There are few things I love more than my animals so I couldn't wait to do another furry babies update. The last one was an introduction to Ganache (you can read that one here). So today I'll talk about Anais' baby. Our little Jack, the gerbil.
Maybe you'll remember but Jack had a brother named Twinkie. (more here and here)He sadly passed away a few months ago near the time the other three brothers (Desert, Snow and Sky) passed away. All of them got sick. The sad part of owning small rodents is; vets can barely help them, other than giving very thinned out antibiotics there's just nothing you can do. That leaves Jack on his own for now.
Jack is over three years old now which makes it hard to match him with a new friend because he is already older and has always been quite dominant. The fact that we lack knowledge and experience to be a good matchmaker doesn't help either so we're trying to give him so much things to do and give him a lot of attention so he doesn't get lonely. *hoping that works and he's happy* Other than being possibly lonely he's still very healthy and seems happy. Let's hope he'll stay with us for a few more years

Datetime - Maastricht

Hi babes,
Last week Anais and I went on a little date to Maastricht. We desperately needed another trip to Lush but dear god it was soooooo busy, I always forget how busy it gets on a saturday but we still got everything we needed and a few extra's ofcourse but you'll see all of those in another blogpost. we continued shopping at the bodyshop and various other shops we had never gone into. We stopped for a sneaky snack at KFC, how could we resist and lastly we found a horseballmatch. We'd never seen anything like it so we had to stay for a while and check it out. First we thought it was a polo match but it was even more unusual yet magical. How one can have so much trust and control over an animal is beyond me but so amazing to see.

Those last two pictures are taken in a basement level of a shop which used to be a bank and they kept the vault intact. If that isn't amazing I don't know what is.

Introductions must be made - Ganache

Hi babes,
As you mave have noticed I've skipt a week bloggingwise but I'm trying to get back on track.
A couple of days ago I was snapchatting my hamster like a mad woman and then it dawned on me... I had never formally introduced my hamster on My Sprinkles Of Love whilst I did do this with my previous hamster babies. So prepare yourself. Today you're going to meet...
Ganache

Ganache is a male syrian hamster. He was the only one in the nest that had long hair and I just fell in love with him rightaway. He has three colours of fur; a milkchocolate brown, white and a a colour that switches between dark very dark brown and grey.

I choose the name Ganache because of his 3 different chocolate-looking-colours. As you may or may not know you can make ganache out of the 3 types of chocolate so that's the logic behind the name. I usually give my animals food-related names but every name I was thinking off sounded a bit too girly so I went with Ganache.

I'm really glad I got him after Princess Marshmellow quite unexpectidly passed away. He is tamer than Marshmellow and Cocopuff. He likes to get a lot of attention whilst Marshmellow didn't really like to cuddle or run around a lot. She used to run away when I wanted to get her out of cage but Ganache runs to a corner stretches his paws in the air and lets me pick him up. It's the cutest thing ever.

Things he loves are : every kind of treat, chicory, broccoli, cucumber, parsley, running around on my bathrobe, standing in his treatspot checking for new treats, climbing,...

Things he doesn't like are :  posing for pictures, lack of new treats, open spaces
I just love him so much so I figured he deserved his own blogpost, don't you think?
