What I wore - Dour Festival

Hi lovelies,
The first of all my DourFestival post will be this outfit of the day. It's a very simple summer look because I don't take my best clothes with me to festivals. Things get dirty and get stolen so I just don't want to take the risk. I mean this shirt was brown when I got home so take my advice and don't take pretty/good clothes with you.

What I Wore
                     Flower hat - Pimkie
                      Bikinitop - Asos
                            Top - Wibra (DIY)
                          Skirt - H&M
                          Shoes - Converse
                            Bag - H&M
                      Bracelets - DourFestival
Festivals should be more comfort over fashion in my opinion.

40-month-anniversary lunch date

Hi lovelies,
Yesterday I went on a date with Anais which was absolutely amazing. We went on a proper grown-up date for the first time. Mainly because we have been dating for 40 months this Friday but we are working that day so we celebrated the occasion this Sunday. We went for a fancy lunch at The Infirmerie, a local place in the town where we live.
We started our lunch with a rosé wine for Anais and a tonissteiner orange for me (had to work afterwards, couldn't drink). They were accompanied with olives, dark bread and minipretzel thingies
I wore the dress I got from Anais on my 18th birthday and braided my hair. I also kept my make-up neutral.
Check out this little cutie, isn't she great for taking me on a lovely date even after being together for 3 years.
This lovely appetiser was also brought to us, I don't know what it was but I liked it and I'm a difficult eater so that means a lot. Anais couldn't wait till the picture was taken before eating it so I'm left with this picture of my lonely appetiser. Btw she also stole my last olive, how dare she :p.
On the picture below you can see our main dishes. Anais went for penne with short stir-fried scampi's and I ate penne with oriental chickenstrips. They were delicious, I tried both and god they were soooo good. The portions were also very big which is always nice because who likes restaurants were you leave hungry.
I loved our little grown-up date and hope we'll do it again soon. Thankyou girlfriend for taking me along and treating me on this wonderful date.

A day in my life - vacationjob edition

Hi lovelies,
Little impromptu blogpost. I just got back from a late shift working with elder people who suffer from dementia. It was quite a rough evening. Usually it's pretty chill but today they were all feeling kind of off, I guess. Everything seemed a lot harder for them. There was a lot of talking nonsense, a lot of complaining, confusing each other, a lot of difficulties with walking and other problems like not being able to hold a glass. It was hard for them but certainly also nervewrecking for me, as an intern. It took a lot of patience and by the end of the night I was definitely annoyed and had enough, just wanting to go home. I treated myself to fries to make me feel better which worked. I complained to my girlfriend which also helped and now I'm complaining here, which also works ;). Things that did cheer me up besides that were all the animals that visited the workplace today. Look below.
Kitty, she is a wild cat that just roams the elders home and gets food and cuddles everywhere but look how pretty she is. She is very cute and loves cuddles.
This is lucky, he is the 9year-old dog from one of the nurses that works at the supervised independent living homes where I work. He got to roam around and play with the elders for the entire shift. He followed me around for quite some time. Sadly the cat wasn't to pleased with his presence.
This one is Dex and was visiting with his owner who is family of one of the elders. He is a rescuedog and is fully equipped with a flashlight and bell for emergencies. He is so playful, loved cuddles and attention.
I'm still working on the Dour photos so keep waiting for those please. I hope you loved this post in return.

What I Bought - The Body Shop Skincare

Hi lovelies,
I have another small haul planned for you today. To quote Amelia from Amelia Liana I've been #FeelingSpendy lately. My spending took place in The Body Shop and I left 34€ lighter. I had a couple of things on my wishlist and bought a small selection of them. I also have my eye on their BB cream and the waterbased primer. Let's look what I purchased.
I purchased these 3 products and received a sample. I went to the store for the Vitamin E face mist (12€). It's perfect for summer. It feels refreshing on the skin and also sets make-up. It has the same scent as the rest of the Vitamin E range which is slightly rose-like. My skin feels soft and a bit more matte after spraying the face mist. I was also in need for a new moisturiser and bought the Vitamin E aqua boost sorbet (19€). Sounds fancy huh? Let me tell you it feels fancy. It sinks in really fast, I love the fabulous glass packaging and it has the same smell I talked about before. Even the girlfriend loves this products, she loved the texture and how fast it sinks in. Lastly I got a mini version of the shea shower cream (3€) for the festival I'm currently attending as you read this. At the till I got this sample of the bodyshop moringa body butter. I love the smell and the texture of the bodybutters.
There is no product from The Body Shop that I haven't liked.

Review - YSL Kiss & Blush

Hi lovelies,
It's about time I did another review, right? I'm going to give it away at the start... I love this product and so will you. I'm talking about the new-ish Kiss and Blush lipstick/cheek stain from YSL. For starters I love multitasking products that can be used in different ways and for different purposes. This product works great on the lips and on the cheeks as a blush. I've read a lot of reviews about the Kiss & Blushes before I purchased mine because Yves Saint Laurent is expensive. The Kiss & Blushes costs 31.95€ a piece in Belgium. You better decide first if the product will be worth it before you purchase it because it's pricey. So after reading countless reviews and trying it on about 4 times in the store to make sure I like the colour I bought mine in shade 7 which is the muted down orange-peachy shade.
I've already talked about the fact that I've read a lot of reviews and a lot of them mentioned that they loved how the product worked on the lips but hated it on the cheeks. I was told it would stain in weird patches but I've tried it every day now for 2 weeks and it didn't stain my cheeks weird once. In fact it works perfectly for me. I just dot a couple of dots on my cheeks and blend it with my fingers and I proceed with the next cheek. That way it will look perfect. I completely agree that it looks gorgeous on the lips. When you first apply it, it looks a bit weird but the more you smootch your lips together and spread the product, it will look better and better. It takes a couple of minutes but once it sets it's perfect. I really love the velvet matte finish. I also really love the colour I chose, it's the perfect peach that looks special yet so natural. The peachy shade also looks pretty on the cheeks. Especially for Summer I love a peachy cheek combined with a bit of bronzer. I usually wear this colour on the lips and cheeks at the same time because it pairs so well.
So what's left to talk about besides the packaging? I really like how chique it looks, it looks like a fancy nailpolish but I like it because you can easily fool people when you put it near you lips ( I think that's funny) but I love that it's just different from all the other products. The applicator is fine. I'm not wowed but don't hate it either
I really like this product and am seriously thinking about buying other colours if I find another colour that I like. Have you tried it?

What's on my face #14 - Still loving old limited editions

Hi lovelies,
Another day, another what's on my face. Today I'm going to my grandmother for her birthday and decided to go with an autumnal look considering it's raining and depressing weather. I used a bunch of products I've loved for years but I think they were limited edition and can't find them anymore on the lancomewebsite. Look below to see the details.
Products :
- Gosh bb cream in 02 beige
- Catrice camouflage cream in 02 light beige
- Catrice light reflecting concealer in 001 porcelain
- Essence bronzer for blondes
- Lancome mono color focus eyeshadow in 233 Home
- Primark PS I love you eyeliner pen in black
- Hema volume mascara
- Lancome creme lipstick in 261 Sexy

The lancome products are wonderful and I've loved them for years. That eyeshadow is my most worn eyeshadow, that's how much I love it. The lipstick is a dark brown shade that appears a brownie-red colour that depends on the light and how much you apply.
Check that winged eyeliner, I've never been more proud. Too bad the other one isn't symmetrical but you can't really tell... I hope.

What I Bought - Summer Primark Edition

Hi lovelies,
I went to Primark last Monday with Anais and got a bunch of stuff. Primark is not the kind of shopping you do for fun, it takes blood sweat and tears. There are so many people, it's just madness. There are lines for everything, everybody pushes, women take all their children inclusive pushchairs. It takes a lot from me and each time I get cranky and nearly cry, that's what Primark does to me so it better be worth it and it was. I got a bunch of stuff I needed but there was so much stuff I wanted but didn't need so had to leave behind. Clotheswise for women it wasn't that great but I loved the accessories, make-up bags, homewear,... For a change they also had things my size, a 36 in Primark? Madness! In total it took us 3 hours to get out of the store because again crazy lines to try things on (btw they only let you try 8 things which is ridiculous and a big no no if you ask me) and at the till. Let's see what I got.
This whole lot was purchased for the total of 48.50€.
I needed new flipflops for summer and festivals so I bought these ones for 1.5€ but I also couldn't leave these slip-on vans-lookalikes. They were only 8€.
Right at the till was the handbagsection, when I was waiting I spotted this little bag. I got this for the festivals because I wanted a new festivalbag, a small one but still big enough to fit a cardigan and other essentials. This burgundy number will do and for 10€ you can't really go wrong.
The inside has a main compartment, little pocket on the front and a pocket with zipper for safety reasons.
They also had 2 gorgeous slouchy backpacks that would look great on a festival but I don't really trust that, I mean it's on your back in a crowd so you can't protect it and people can easily steal things out of it, sadly that happens.
The quality of this picture is seriously lacking, do not take pictures late at night peeps. I needed a new brush after I wrecked another one so I got this paddle brush for 2€. I also ran out of eyeliner so when I spotted this 2€ black felt liner, I had to try it. In the homewear section I also found this vanilla-coconut candle for 4€ that smelled delicious, as you can see I was already trying it and had to blow out the candle because my picture kept turning black.
28 hours sounds promising to me.
For clothes I went for these 3 tshirts, the rest of the clothessection did not really wow me. The ramones band tee was 10€, the ninja turtles tshirt was reduced to 3 and the Bambi one was 8€.

That was everything, I hope you like what I bought

The waves of the sea help me get back to me

Hi lovelies,
The last blogpost about my vacation, you've reached the end... Congratulations. I'm going to use this as a bit of a diary, the things I did, all the selfies I took, all the pictures I took from others, just about everything that didn't fit in the other blogposts. Mainly we took a resting vacation this time but we took a couple of trips to Oostende to shop and went to Nieuwpoort Beach a couple of times and met up with friends who were also taking their vacations in the neighbourhood.

There is a little story I wanted to tell you, just so you can laugh with my misery. Just picture this. I was shopping in Oostende, just your regular beachtown. I was walking down the street in my cute dress just going from shop to shop and I suddenly get distracted by something. I saw something fall... Within seconds it dawned on me and I looked from the floor to my dress and then I saw it. A seagull had shit on me. Jup I kid you not, that actually happened. Trust me Seagull poop is not your average little birth poop. It's a lot and it stinks!!! No amount of paper towels and wet whipes could get the stains on my dress. I flipped in the middle of the street. God what are the chances that would actually happen? There was absolutely nothing I could do to get the stains and smell away and there was no way in hell I was going home in a dress full of poop so I ran to the nearest H&M with my handbag covering hopefully most of it. I bought a new outfit and changed in the changingrooms. There was no other way no matter how strange the lady at the changing rooms looked at me. So jup that happened.
Day 2 - Beach day
We met up with Indra and Donovan in the weekend to shop and walk around town. Afterwards we also hung out at their hotel which was so cute. I couldn't resist taking a couple sneaky pictures, hope they don't mind.
Before beach selfies
We accidentally took a selfie of a selfie, how awesome.
Selfie at 'het marmietje' a cafe where we ate pancakes.
Kissies
Almost kissies
Mandatory feet in the sea picture
Trip to the pier with awesome view
Beach day essentials : Water, SPF and TUC cookies to snack on.
Wet hair selfie. Just before these pictures were taken I went swimming in the sea. It was great the waves were pretty big, the sea was just calling my name and I had to go swimming. I went alone because Anais didn't want to go and had to stay by the bags but in the end it's great experience because as a person you need to be able to do things alone and I'm not really good at that so it was good for me to try. So I went alone and was really conscious of everybody looking because I was the lonely one whilst everybody has someone with them in the water but as I started making fun in the waves on my own I realised I shouldn't care and stopping caring about others and I had a great time. I'm actually a little bit proud of doing that because maybe other times I would have said 'nevermind, I'll just stay, don't swim even though I really wanted to' but I didn't and when I got back Anais said ' I've been watching you the entire time and you really looked like you were having fun' and I was! So don't let anyone stop you, you can do things on your own and you should try it.
On our way back with all our bags, suitcases and skateboard

I already miss being by the sea, it was soo great to be on a little break from everything.

Goodbyeeee
