How have you been? Today I've planned an outfit of the day for you. This one was shot at the Nieuwpoort beach on a storm breaker. I chose this blogpost title as an ironic inside joke. Right after these pictures were taken I stepped on what I thought was a stone but was really a dark puddle of seawater/mud. My new allstars still have mudstains. Jup only happens to me.

Where I have been - Seaside part 3

Hi lovelies,

On day 3 at the seaside we chilled, I guess? I can't even remember what we exactly did but I'm guessing this are pictures from day 3. 

 Outfitpictures, I was planning a lookbook but that idea was given up quickly.

Anais hard at work, pumping up the airmatress. We slept outside in a tent and Aida and Demi inside the caravan. You have to maintain a little bit of privacy when you go on a vacation with 2 couples.

Laying on the coach watching some Tv, it would be one of the last ones because the day after this we had a bit of a storm and the satellite blew over and we lost the tvchannels :(

Where I have been - Seaside part 2

Hi lovelies,

I'm going to be talking about the second day of our trip to the shore, about 2 weeks ago. We went to Oostende. We explored a bit, shopped a bit, you know the drill. I took some pictures from Aida and Demi who were acting all cutely. It feels kinda strange to snap some pictures from other couples, kinda like I'm creeping up on them but it's nice to have pictures from yourself and partner, you know, the 'ones' that aren't selfies. I also do believe that non-posed pictures are the cutest pictures so prepare for those.

Hi lovelies, 

Today I wore a dress given to my girlfriend for my birthday, the first birthday we celebrated together. She bought me this dress, a cute card, the Tinkerbell DVD box,... I was very happy. I still am and still wear that dress. It fits perfectly, has tshirt sleeves, has the perfect length, elasticated at the waist and a perfect flowerprint. I combined with a simple black cardigan, black wedges and my black bag. I'll do admit that my mermaid-green nailpolish doesn't match but hey...

I tried to take these outfitpictures myself and boy it's harder than it looks. I balanced my camera on countless objects, some were too low, some too high, perspective was all wrong. In the end I chose to balance the camera on a windowsill, it was the best choice but turns out the camera focused more on the leaves than on me. Why does it like leaves more than my face? Also a weird shadow thingie took place but after all these fails I'm still going to use them. Look below for the results.

I eat cake because it's somebody's birthday somewhere

Hi lovelies, 

Today is a special day, you're probably expecting this because it's Easter Monday but NO. Today is special because it's my girlfriends birthday!!! I'm going to take this opportunity to completely forget Easter and use this post to congratulate her on her special day. 

My lovely girlfriend is turning 22 today. I've spend the last 3 birthdays with you and I plan to spend many more with you. I want to grow old with you and we will.

So my special girl, I hope you're happy and feel well. I hope we'll celebrate this day in every way you hope we'll celebrate it. I hope we'll spend our lives together in happiness with many more birthdays to come. I wish you a happy birthday and an amazing day.

To give this post just that little bit extra I included a couple of pictures I took from you at the shore. You're pretty never forget that. Oh and I'll love you forever, never forget that either.

Where I have been - Seaside part 1

Hi lovelies, 

For the first time in twenty years I went to the seaside by car. I usually go by train but my sister-in-law has her drivers licence and offered to drive. It's way faster so we gladly took that offer. This also was our first official road trip, YES. I had a lot of fun, we ate lots of candy, read magazines and of course took lots of selfies on our way. You have to keep yourself busy, no?

What I Bought - Seaside edition

Hi lovelies, 

Whilst I was on vacation to the shore I did a bit of shopping, only a little yet it cost more than I anticipated. I am the kind of person that buys one thing at a time but after awhile you still accumulate a lot of things and the money you spend also adds up. That being said I still love everything I bought even though I didn't expect to buy anything when I left for my trip.

At Di I spotted a display from the brand The Balm. I never ever saw this in Belgium before and never really showed much interest in but when you see a new brand that you've heard great things about, you gasp for air and just stand there staring with your mouth open, or at least that happened to me. I left the store with the Instain Longwearing Blush in Houndstooth. It's a lovely mauve shade and really stays longer than other blushes. I paid 12.95€ for the blush. That same day at Claire's I bought the gold-beaded headband for about 6€. 

A couple days later I bought a Catrice nailpolish in Mermaid My Day, lovely green mermaid color. It's all in the name, isn't it? Pricepoint depends on the range but is around 3€. I also bought at Kruidvat a new pair of sunglasses. I had been looking for a boho style that was quite round and I think I succeeded my quest and found a lovely pair for 10.95€. 

The last day I also went back to Di because I couldn't get a certain palette out of my head. I went back and came out with a brand new eyeshadow palette from The Balm. I chose the Meet Matte Nude palette and it's a great neutral palette. I came to the conclusion that I had barely any to none matte eyeshadows so that's how I justified the whopping 30€ I spend on this. Also try to look at it this way when you do the math, it's 30€ for 9 shadows which makes it about 3 euros per shade and that's less than you pay for any single eyeshadow on the market. The only thing I wonder is for what will I use the yellow colour? Suggestions are welcome.
