Monochrome

Hi lovelies,
Everytime I look at my dresser I think wow this would make a good blogpost. It represents my style perfectly.

Under my dresser I keep the shoes I've been wearing recently so that I don't have to go search them every morning in another room. So basically these are my favorite and most worn shoes. I also hang the bag that I'm using on the knobs or at least when I clean my room. Otherwise I just throw it somewhere on the ground, like I do with everything. No I'm not a tidy person.

As you can see my style is quite monochrome. On a daily basis I wear all black combined with dark blue jeans and/or something grey. It just looks amazing to me. I always think I'm going to wear colour but I just never do and if I wear colour it's something like dark green or dark red.
I will go over my favorite shoes for you. Left to Right. Flat allstars, grey etnies, my thrusty black allstars, black heels with laces, my newest pair of army boots, Primark heeled boots, my previous army boots (they ripped at the heel but I still keep them for festivals or something maybe), my favorite peeptoe heels from Pepe Jeans, lace pointie shoes from New Look and flats from H&M.

My bag of the moment has been the Zara zipped messenger bag.

Review - Catrice longlasting eye pencil waterproof

Hi lovelies,
I'm here to give a little review about the Catrice longlasting eyeliner. I bought this at the end of November. You can see it in this post. So let's start with the good. It gives a dark black line when you apply it. I stays on for a really long time even when you sweat. It goes off with just a micellair water so it isn't a bitch to remove. I hate it when make up doesn't come off in the evening because I just want to go to sleep instead of rubbing my eyes for half an hour. I also have the same eyeliner in blue and I absolutely love it. Also a plus is the price, it's only 2.39
Now for the bad. I opened this in the beginning of January in the morning because you know I wanted eyeliner on my eyes for a change. When I opened it and turned to get the kohl out, nothing came out. I was so confused because it couldn't be finished already. I shook the lid and there it was my little piece of kohl. I was a bit bummed but I thought no worries Nikki, you can put it back in. So I did and turned it back up and tried to apply it but by then it had all dried out. I can't use it anymore and it makes me really sad. For the price it isn't that bad, you can just by a new one but it's about the principal. An eyeliner should be able to live longer than 2 months. As I said I also have the blue one and that didn't have the same problem. It's still going strong and I've had it since summer. Another small thing is that if you rub your eyes a lot, which I do, it can crumble a little bit but I've noticed on days that I don't rub my eyes as much I don't have that problem at all and it stays put absolutely fine.
As a conclusion, it's certainly not a bad product I would still buy it but keep in mind that accidents like these can happen. It still disappointed me but because my other one didn't dry out I can't give it a bad review. I suppose I just had a bad one.

Did anyone had the same problem?

Nails of the day #13 - Prom Berry

Hi lovelies,
On my nails today is another Essence colour & go polish. This time in the colour Prom Berry. It's a dark purple with pink shimmer running through. It costs the same as all the others, less than 2 euros. The quality is really good. It's opaque in 2 coats and even one coat looks cute but it's less dark. I really like this colour it appears black in some lights, purple in others. It has that dark smokey look that I love in winter nail polishes.

What I bought - Beauty edition

Hi lovelies,
This is that one beauty haul that I allready briefly mentioned and happened before the actual salesperiod.
I bought a bit of everything as you can see.
Skin and haircare first. I bought my trusty La Roche-Posay micellair water. My Bioderma Node K shampoo, recommended by my dermatologist so I'm just sticking with it. As I bought that I got this be.care handcreme for free which is always nice. From my lovely girlfriend I also got these bathfizzies and they smell delicious. Good job Anais, Thankyou!!!!!
In the make-up category this happened : In a 2 for 5€ deal I got the NYC nail polish in Money Never Sleeps and the NYC mousse foundation in 701 Natural Beige. Both are absolutely lovely. The foundation is possibly a new favorite.

I also bought the Bourjois Color Edition creme eyeshadows. I bought the colours Prune Nocturne and Kaki Cheri. They are soooo pretty on the eyes but they do crease by the end of the day so make sure you put an eyeshadow base on before using these. They retail for 10.99€ but I got 3€ off each.

I also bought the Zenner make-up brush. It's absolutely impossible to find face-make-up-brushes on the highstreet. This is what I found and am trying now. It does the job but meh.

I hope you enjoyed and if you are having exams just as I do, I wish you the best of luck and do power through. You can do it.

What's on my face #6 - Never ask a girl with winged liner why she's late

Hi lovelies,
I have another what's on my face post for you all. In the middle of examboredom I decided to put make up on my face. These are the results, also excuse my hair it doesn't look all that good today. For my make-up I attempted to do a bit of winged eyeliner, it's going slightly better but I'm not there yet. I kept the rest of my make-up simple. Look below to see which products I used.
I used the Catrice all matt plus foundation. I have always loved matt make-up even though dewy seems to be in fashion nowadays and matt isn't targeted at my skintype. It still looks so pretty, I find. I added some colour back into my skin with the Sleek lace blush palette. I used the bright red/pink shade. I added some Catrice loose highlighter, you know keepin' some shine in that all matted down face. It's not that you need highlighter in my opinion but it's a glittery product and why wouldn't I want to have glitter on my face? Don't you worry I know I'm one big contradiction here and in general in fact. For my eyes I used the Essence superfine eyeliner to make the wing. I topped things of with 2 layers of Hema volume mascara. Lastly I put some Bourjois colorboost in Peach on the beach on my lips.
Funfact: I only this week discovered this foundation has a pump. I always turned to get the cap of and turns out that how you screw the pump off. So after half a year I finally learned you have to pull, not turn, to reveal the pump. I never would have known if it wasn't for this video. It was like an epiphany. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that only now I've figured it out.

What I bought - Sales edition #2

Hi lovelies,
I promised this one. My sales-period-beauty-haul, yep that's not even a word. Let's just say I didn't need anything of these but I wanted to try all of these things for a while and I just went with it.
I went to The Body Shop and Kruidvat. Let's have a look, shall we?
At Kruidvat I bought a new micellair water. I use these twice a day. I use them to take my make-up off in the evening and to refresh in the morning. They do run out quite quickly and I wanted to try an other brand so I went for the Garnier one(around the 5€mark). I really like this one. I need to try it for a little bit longer but I might like it more than my expensive La Roche-Posay water.

Make-up wise I bought 2 things from Essence. I bought the I love stage eyeshadow primer(2.49€). I bought a couple of things before this shopping trip and I bought 2 creme eyeshadows (you'll see them soon in another blogpost) and these creased quite a bit. Let's hope this will help. I also bought the superfine eyeliner pen(2.99€). I really like winged eyeliner but I find it really hard to do on my eyes because my eyelids aren't as tight as other peoples eyelids seem to be? Drawing a tight line is hard and I thought maybe a thinner tip will help and I has to say it did help. I can't do the perfect winged liner yet but it has improved. What I do have to say about this is after only 3 uses the tip is already more wobbly and less stiff so it's already harder to pull a line.

Lastly from Kruidvat I bought the Braun Silk Epil 1 epilator. I don't need this and usually shave with a razor but I always wanted to try things like these. Now this one turned out to be in the sale for only 12.5€ instead of at least 40€. This is one of the older epilators which is probably why it was a lot cheaper but to try this was an excellent deal.
In The Body Shop I opted for these 3 things. I love the papaya scent so I bought the shower gel and the body butter. The price was heavily reduced. The showergel was 3.5€ and the body butter 8€. I also bought the shea bodyscrub (15€) because honestly I never scrub and I should change that.

I am very pleased with all my purchases. I hope you had a lovely sale-shopping-period too.
Also feel free to follow me on bloglovin.

What I bought - Sales edition #1

Hi lovelies,
I did some sales-shopping this month. I'm going to show the clothes and accessories today and the beauty-things in 2 days. This blog turns out to be proof of the fact that I may or may not have a shopping addiction. Half of my posts are things that I bought and I don't even post everything. So euhm yeah...
My not so exciting accumulation of purchases
My excuse for buying another pair of shoes is as following; After New Years my black flats were really dirty so I bought the exact same ones... Not in sale but so cheap that they easily could be.
I'm weirdly excited about buying socks. I never actually bought my own socks. Let your mommy spend money on those is my advice, nobody wants to spend their own money on stupid socks. These on the other hand are not stupid. They are the cutest socks I've ever seen and I got them in New Look. 3 pairs for 5€. Not too bad.
I also bought this New Look spike necklace. It costs 9.99€ but if you're a student you can get a 10% discount. I put buying this off for months. I like the look of them but I never ever change my jewelry and always were the same thing. I have no statement necklaces. It's a trend that I ignored until now. New years resolution: Wear this necklace.
At Bershka Anais saw this shirt but I bought it instead muhahaha. It was 9.99€ in the boys section. It's a flower shirt with the quote 'Close to darkness'. It looks pretty and would also look nice tucked into a skirt I guess.
Lastly in H&M I bought this dress for 15€. I have no excuse for this. It's another dress that I'll probably never wear. It's to festive/sexy for school (hence the decolletage) and I don't go to parties so I can't wear it to go out. I guess it's pretty to look at when I stare into my closet? When will I ever wear this? It was too pretty to leave  behind in the store so here it is, a gorgeous waste of money.

I like your last name. Can I have it?

Hi lovelies,
In the last weekend of Christmas break me and Anais went on a long walk to get out of the tension around the house. We just left and were not prepared for a walk. Which person goes on a walk in the mud wearing a leather legging? I guess that's me. I didn't bring any other clothes so I didn't have a more appropriate option. I did have a lot of fun though.
My fabulous bitch.
Winter walks, even though it does look more like spring, it was surprisingly fun. Maybe I'm not so lazy after all? No, that can't be it...

I also wanted to take this moment to point out I would love it if you'd follow me on bloglovin. Thank you.

Greatness on the internet #1

Hi lovelies,
This morning my girlfriend send me a link to this post. It was a lovely post. Perfectly written and very much true. I would love for you guys to read it and take it into consideration. The advice is targeted at married people but I find that everyone in a relationship should keep this in their mind. When you have been together for a while you might get stuck in a rut. You fall into your own little patterns and while that's perfectly normal, it's not ideal. You'll start taking each other for granted and that's why I love the advice in this post. Read it and practise what he preaches. Keep dating with your loved one.

What I bought - Marshmellow edition

Hi lovelies,
I'm so excited to announce that I bought a new hamster. I'm writing this a week after Cocopuff passed away and I just couldn't live without a little munchie in my life so after exactly a week of mourning I decided enough was enough and bought a new one.

After a little shopping I and Anais went to MaxiZoo for a new hamster; hoping they'd have a cute little fellow. I was a little scared because I didn't knew for sure if I'd be ready for a new one and if it wasn't to fast but I went anyway.

At the store we found a hamster nest and the people at store said there were 4 hamsters in it but we couldn't find the fourth one anywhere and when we finally found the fourth one and I decided which one I wanted out of the four light grey hamsters, a fifth one popped up out of nowhere. A white with grey one just appeared out of nothing and no-one knew or remembered it was even there. None the less, I made a choice and took a hamster home.
They were all so similar and it wasn't love at first sight as when I took Puffie home but the more I'm looking at her, the more I love her. After about 15 minutes I was full of excitement and I couldn't be happier I took our lady home.
So concluding everything: I bought a new hamster. It's a girl. Her colour is light grey. I'm not sure about the age but she was the tiniest out of all of them. She is a little bit scared but already warming up to me and last but not least her name...
I decided I would name the next hamster Marshmellow whether or not it was a boy. But considering it is a girl, what I didn't plan on getting but you just can't deny cuteness when you see it, I decided I would add something to her name. Prepare yourself now :

"Princess Marshmellow"

I love her already.

Nails of the day #12 - Eightysix//Seventysix

Hi lovelies,
This is the naillook I was sporting on New Years Eve. I chose this burgoundy colour and used a glittery topcoat on my ringfingers. The burgundy colour goes on a bit streaky even after 3 coats but it will be dark on New Years Eve at the party. Nobody will care about what I put on my nails beside maybe just maybe, you. Both colours I got at Hema but I don't think they are still available. They are called 86 for the burgundy one and 76 for the glittery one.

Unboxing - Zara Edition

Hi lovelies,
A while back, before Christmas, I ordered a few somethings on the Zara website. I loved what I got so why not show it. After browsing the store and not finding what I was searching I decided to order from the website and pick it up in store. It's free and I had to go into the city anyway. I ordered 2 dresses and was looking for the Zara Messenger bag in black but that was out of stock so after being sad about that I ordered anyway.
I loved the way Zara delivers their packages. Very classy, tasteful and gorgeously wrapped. The whole delivery process went very quickly. After 2 days it got sent and a day later arrived at the store.
The tartan dress was a bit too small in the boobage area so I went back to the store and asked for a bigger size. The girl called to their depot and told me the dress was not available in a bigger size. She made the receipt to get my money back, all good and well but when I got home and checked the site again I noticed the dress was still on there in the bigger size. I thought meh why not try this and I ordered again, despite what the lady at the till said. Not only did I see the dress but I also saw the Zara Messengerbag in black. It was back in stock. Oh My God, all the excitement. I ordered both of them and got them a week later. It was right before Christmas so the deliveryproces took a bit longer but it still arrived in time for Christmas.
The bag was gorgeously delivered in an protecting bag and the dress fit the second time 'round.
I wore the tartan dress at Christmas day and the black one on New Years Eve
Lesson of the day don't always believe the lady's in the store, they can be mistaken. Worst thing that could happen is that they didn't update the site yet and you don't get your order, but in that case you get your money back. Take the risk.

Collect moments not things

Hi lovelies,
How was your New Years Eve? I hope you had lovely time. I sure did against all expectations. I wasn't all to excited to go to our local New Years Eve party. Last year I didn't enjoy myself all that much but this year was different.

I started the night with getting myself ready at my girlfriends place. I started to late as usual so I got to hurry  and didn't take pictures of the finished look whick I kinda regret but still. Not only did I had to hurry but turned out I forgot my ticket at home so I had to walk all the way back home. That didn't do my just curled hair any good... My dad later brought me and Anais back to the city where me, Anais, Aida and Demi went for drinks and kebab. You know classy food at New Years Eve. Afterwards we walked to the Velinx where the party took place. It was hosted by Focus Events.
Pre-Party drinks
Cameraquality was not on my side that's why I didn't take any other pictures
Following pictures are made by the photographers at Focus New Year 2013.

I had a great evening. What did you do on New Years Eve?
