What I Bought - Make up edition

Hi lovelies,
I've been doing a little bit of beautyshopping over the past few months. This is what I brought home with me.
I bought two new mascaras, the Catrice Multimizer and the Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express Cateyes mascara. I also needed a new black eyeliner and my choice this time was the Bourjois Megaliner. This liner has a sharpiepoint so it takes some getting used to. I got an Hema flat shader brush and also bought 2 new concealers. I used to have the Collection 2000 concealer but I lost it somewhere together with an Chanel Eyeshadowquad, so I bought 2 new ones. I bought the Catrice Camouflage Cream for when I need really good coverage and the Catrice Light-reflecting concealer/highlight pen.
Star of the show are the Rouge Velvet Editions from Bourjois. Fluid lipsticks in really opaque colours that dry matte, just lovely. You can read my review here. The last two things are gifts from my lovely girlfriend. When she came back from Paris (blogpost here) she brought me the MAC lipstick in Russian Red and a Chanel Creamblush in Inspiration. I've wanted these two items for a really long time and I'm soooooo happy that I got them as a present.^^
Have you bought anything new lately?

What's on my face #8 - New additions

Hi lovelies,
Look below for one of my favorite make-up looks lately.
Products used :
Base
- NYC smooth skin mousse foundation in 701 Natural Beige
- Chanel creme blush in 64 Inspiration
-Essence sun club bronzer in blonde
Eyes
- MUA undress me too eyeshadowpalette :
* Reveal on the lid
* Wink on the outer corner
* Lavish in the crease
- Essence superfine eyeliner pen in deep black
- Catrice lashes to kill mascara in black with false lash fibres
Lips
- Bourjois velvet rouge edition liquid lipstick
Assortment of cheap brushes
Tiny review :
I love all these products but I struggle with the Essence superfine eyeliner pen. It's easy to draw a catflick but it stains the eyes and during the day it ends up in the crease. I also added in a couple new additions. When my lovely girlfriend came back from her trip to Paris, she brought me back this Chanel creme blush after me lusting for it for months so I couldn't be happier. She also brought me MAC Russian Red but I didn't used it today. I used another new addition, the bourjois velvet rouge edition. This is absolutely perfect and you can read my review here. I also wanted to talk about my foundation choice. It  has fastly made it's way to be my favorite foundation. It gives a flawless finish, looks so natural and it doesn't feel like you're wearing foundation.
I love this make-up look, it's so pretty and simple for a day to day look.

What the munchies got up to #3

 Hi lovelies,
I hope you're ready for this, a couple of weekend ago I sat down with my camera to watch Anais' little munchies play and run around. For the ones that don't know, she owns 5 gerbils. They are all boys but from different nests so we have 2 boys in one cage and 3 from the other nest in another. The ones you'll be looking at now are Jack(the brown one) and Twinkie(the light grey one). Gerbils are very active rodents, they are a true joy to watch. They run around like mad men, can jump incredibly high for such small animals, can turn into fuzzy balls of fur that cuddle each other, they're just adorable and so interesting to observe for hours on end.
Mr burns hands
Laying all comfy in the sun, they love to lounge around in the sunlight.
Smileyface.
Voila, those were my little cutesies, I hope you like watching them as much as I do.

Review - Bourjois Rouge Velvet Edition Lipstick

Hi lovelies,
Today I wanted to review a new lipstick launch. I'm talking about the Rouge Edition Velvet lipsticks by Bourjois. I'm completely blown away by this lipproduct. This is a liquid lipstick that dries matt. When you first apply it it has a creamy, velvet (I see what they did there) consistency and after a while it dries to a completely matt finish. The best thing about it is that when they dry, it feels like you have nothing on your lips. This product also happens to be very longlasting without being drying on the lips. Another big plus is that the colour doesn't transfer when you kiss your boyfriend/girlfriend.The packaging is pretty and handy due to the doe-foot applicator. The colourrange is gorgeous and I actually wanted all the colours. The only colour I miss is a real nude colour because I've bought the most nude shade but it's still really pink. The price is decent at 13.99 euros. It's a bit pricey but worth every penny.
I got these 2 colours, Frambourjoise and Nude-ist. It's the pink-reddish shade and the most nude, old pink shade. I also really wanted the dark red colour(Grand Cry) but out of all the colour swatches I did in store, this one was the least smooth so I was a bit hesitant to buy that one but I probably will buy it at one point...
Yes that's the cat as my background...
As a little tip I would say that's best to let them dry before you rub your lips together because the colour can move a bit and than it doesn't look as opaque as it would otherwise. Because they really are opaque in one coat, even though that doesn't come across on the swatches above.
I'm wearing Nude-ist on this picture.
This one is Frambourjoise, also a gorgeous shade.
To conclude, I really love this line. I owe Bourjois a big thank you because I love matt lipsticks but they are impossible to find on the drugstore market. Not only matt but also non-drying which seemed to be impossible before this launch. I think this is the best liplaunch of the year, for me at least. What do you think about them? Have you tried any of the shades?

Nails of the day #16 - Redvolution

Hi lovelies,
This week I have been sporting a bright, sunny red nailpolish on my nails. It's called Redvolution! by Essence colour & go(1.69 euros) This is the red shade that's perfect for spring and summer. It has a pink, slight orange undertone to it instead of being such a deep red. It's quite opaque in 1 coat and it's perfect in 2 coats. I have this in my collection for quite a long time for so long that I forgot. 2 weeks ago I was at my grandmother-in-law looking at her nailpolish stash in the fridge because that's just the girl I am. I picked this colour up and was like 'Ooh pretty' and Anais said 'Ooh that's a colour for you'. When I got home I looked in my drawer and turned out I already had that colour and it really is my taste.
Excuse the messy application.

The Weekender Edition #4 - Part 2

Hi lovelies,
The next part of the fourth weekender edition has arrived on your screen. We are talking about the second half of Sunday. The weather was still lovely and Carnaval was starting. The whole family had arrived and everybody was moving their butt outside. The atmosphere was great. Little children were getting in their costumes, candy and confetti were thrown, I got hit by an apple as it's inevitable (it happens to me every year). We watched the parade, shook confetti out of our clothes, I took pictures and we went out for drinks afterwards
Costume anybody?
Demi got over for kisses right before the parade started (she participated as a pirate, cute isn't she?)
 Playing with the smallest familymembers.
Aren't that 2 cute little munchkins?
 Outfit of the day anyone?
 Minnie Mouses in the parade.
 Father-in-law-photobomb?
A driving ship? I kid you not.
 The cutest little princess.
She made friends with my girlfriend, crawled on her lap and started dancing. The cutest thing ever.
 Demi's pirate boat.
 Confetti everywhere.
Imana also took part in the parade but roles were turned and confetti got thrown on her instead of the other way around.
The aftermath, confetti and empty candies.

After all I had a great weekend, even though I really didn't want to go. Good weather does make everything better.

The Weekender Edition #4 - Part 1

Hi lovelies,
I have a weekend post planned but because I had soooo many pictures I decided to split it into 2 parts. So let's get started. The weekend in question was the weekend from 8-9 March. It was the weekend where 'Borgloon Carnaval' happened, pictures of that occasion will be in Part 2, so make sure to be back in 2 days to see those. The entire weekend we had amazing weather, sun shining, warm temperature, what could we want more in March? I let Anais take some outfitpictures on Saturday (you can see those here), wrote for the blog, and watched Geordie Shore for the rest of the day. Sunday started with a very bad mood thanks to a sudden change in planning of my supposed-to-be lazy sunday. So planning changed and I was supposed to be 2 entire hours sooner at my girlfriends grandmothers place. I had less than half an hour to get ready. I was not a happy bunny at that point. After a while Anais and Aida got me out of the house to get me in a better mood. We went to a little playground and well the weather and acting like a child did lift my mood. Look below for the pictures.
