A current Lush collection

Hi babes,
Let's be honest here, I've had a bag full of Lush goodies standing in a corner in my room, just waiting around until I was done procrastinating. By now it's way to late to call it a haul. So I'll call it a collection. These aren't all the lush goodies I have laying around but the shampoo bars I use on the daily are too used to be photographed. If you're lucky you may still find these buys in the January sales or the current collection. I bought these in November from the Halloween and Christmas collection.

I haven't used any of these items before so there is not a lot I can tell you. I mainly made this blogpost because I love taking pictures of Lush products. They're just so pretty. Besides who doesn't love a good flatlay.

From the bottom to the top
- The Magic Of Christmas bubble bar
- Peeping Santa bubble bar
- Lord Of Misrule bath ballistic
- Frozen bathbomb
- Dragon Egg bathbomb
- The Experimenter
- Samples of the Comforter and Snow Fairy showergel

Recipe time - Snickerdoodles

Hi babes,
I'm sharing one of my favorite wintercookies recipe. Sharing recipes is something new i'm trying as I promised that I'd make this blog more lifestylebased. Not many of you know this but I absolutely love baking things but I never share my recipes. Mainly because it makes me feel special that people have to ask me to bake things they like for them. It sounds a bit psychotic but who doesn't love it when people ask ''hey, could you bake those cookies again, they're so good!'' Anyhow, let's change that and share some of my secrets.

Today I'll share a recent discovery; the snickerdoodle. It's a cookie that just tastes like winter and has a great texture, not too chewy but not dry and hard either.

Ingredients
250 grams of regular flour
100 grams of white sugar
125 grams of softened butter
1 egg
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 regular spoon of cinnamon and 2 regular spoons of sugar mixed together for the coating of the cookies

Recipe
Preheat your oven on 180 degrees Celsius
Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon together in a bowl
Mix the butter and sugar together using an electric mixer or by hand if you fancy until it becomes a light mixture that's close to white
Mix the egg and vanilla through the previous mixture
Mix both mixtures together

Mix the sugar and cinnamon together on a plate which will be used to coat the cookies
Roll the dough until it's a half a centimeter thick using a rolling pin
Cut your cookies using a a cookiecutter in a shape that you choose (I like my animal ones from IKEA)
Flip your cookies in the cinnamonsugar on the plate, coating both sides
Put the cookies on parchment paper on a baking tray
Put the baking tray in the oven for about 15 minutes on 180 degrees Celsius
Keep an eye on the cookies, they're ready when they're golden

Let your cookies cool and enjoy

Another magical Disney adventure

Hi babes,
I hope that by this point everyone knows that I'm a giant Disney fan. I've made it my lifemission to see all the movies (multiple times if possible), I still secretly love Disney Channel, Hannah Montana till this day is one of my favorite TV series and I've made multiple visits to Disneyland Paris (DisneyWorld is still on my bucketlist). You may remember I took a trip down to Paris last year but with all the bad luck you can hardly call that trip a succes so we booked another one for Christmas 2015. Jep I went again. Luckily this trip turned out to be more succesful. There are a few pro's and con's about going to Disneyland around Christmas that I hadn't considered when we booked our trip.

Con's
- Christmas means more people, longer cues, difficulties to find a good spot to eat at lunchtime, lots of traffic on the way to Disney,...
- Alongside with my previous point goes that you'll not be able to go on as many rides as if you were to go on a different time in the year
- It gets cold and wet at this time of year, even if the weatherman told you it wouldn't. Don't make the same mistake we made and bring a thick coat that can handle the rain.

Pro's
- The Christmas parade is freakin' amazing
- Sleeping beauty's castle is prettier than you've ever seen it before
- Christmas decorations throughout the entire parc are pretty amazing
- You can buy Christmas decorations everywhere, it's so pretty.
- You can buy nearly all of your Christmas presents at the parc. Pro Tip.
- Seasonal drinks at starbucks. Mmmmh yes

So eventhough I got upset that I didn't get to do everything I wanted to do, it was cold and I have a strong tendency to complain it was still a pretty good trip and I still enjoyed myself. Things that put my out of my comfort zone that make me deal with going about life without planning everything, are a good thing right? Well, you live and you learn.

Thoughts and resolutions

Hi babes,
Another year, another try on this blogging thing. For the last year I haven't been very consistent. I was kinda bored with blogging. I wasn't happy with the pictures I took (or let others take), I wasn't happy with the content I was coming up with. It all felt so cliché  and unoriginal. Besides that I also didn't want to make time for it anymore, going to school for whole days messed with the blogging schedule to be honest.

I'm also thinking about changing the direction of my blog. The content I was producing just doesn't work with my situation, life,... I would love to publish lots of outfitideas and other things in that direction but taking that kinda pictures yourself is pretty hard and looks very posed but I don't have a great photographer in my inner circle so that's also not an option. Until this moment I made Anais take my pictures but she bloody hates it so I'm not going to force her anymore (I think, well at least for now ;) )

Lately I've come to the conclusion that I much prefer to take pictures than be in front of the camera. I don't know where exactly this blog is going but I do know I want to work on my photo-taking-skills and do something with that here. I also want this blog to be more lifestyle-themed instead of being the typical (but failing) beauty- or fashionblogger. I think I want to go into the direction of my instagram my instagram but more extensive, more pictures, more words.

Let's hope that in the new year I can stick to these blogresulutions and upload a bit more often. Can't make any promises though, school has a tendency to get in the way just as my mood or social life. Even though it was a bad year for the blog, I actually had a pretty good year. I was in a better mood, had better grades, I came outside more, made more of an effort to do actual activities and have a social life. Here's to hoping that 2016 will be equally great.

Goodbyeeeeee
