Nails of the day #6 - Raindrop

Hi lovelies,

I'm here again for another nails of the day post. Tired of these yet? I hope your not because they're not stopping. This time I used a recently bought colour from NYC in Raindrop with my essence quick dry topcoat like always. With Raindrop I added another light blue to the collection. It looks a lot like That's what I mint from essence. Watch here for that post. Raindrop is less minty and when you don't hold it in direct sunlight has a more lilac undertone to it. It looks more real light blue than mint light blue. Actually the difference is pretty minimal and you definitely don't need both. But I happen to have them now and I like both of them. This was also a cheap one. It costs 2.49 euros Do you sense a team here? I cannot get myself to buy essie or other expensive nail polishes. It seems like such a waste of money I mean okay they have a huge range of colours but still I change my polish regularly so I don't care if it last just that day or two longer. Cheap will do for me. I don't have the patience to do it right anyways. I always put on the second coat before the first one is completely dry and I always have streaks even after 3 coats and a topcoat.

Goodbyeee lovelies

Fluffy American pancakes recipe

Hi lovelies,

I have a recipe for you today. The real American pancakes. If you are from the United States you probably know how to make them but I live in Belgium and you never ever see them here. We have crêpes. Also pancakes but the real thin ones. Just as many people I want what I can't have so the search for an American pancakes recipe begun. I tried a couple, the one already took more time than the other but I managed to find one that really satisfied my fluffy pancake needs. Luckily for me it was also one that took less time and effort. I found it on http://www.nigella.com so all credit is due to her. Let's start.

 What do you need :

- 30 grams of melted butter (Following the recipe you should cool it but I didn't and it was still jummy)
- 2 large eggs (beaten)
- 1 teaspoon of white sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 300 ml milk
- 225 grams of self-raising flour (You can use the plain kind but don't forget to put in a tablespoon of baking powder)
- butter for frying
- a bowl
- a fork
- a small frying pan
- a spatula

The recipe :

- Melt the butter in the microwave
- Add the eggs and beat them. You can also beat them in a separate cup but that means more work when washing the dishes
- Add the teaspoon of sugar and a pinch of salt
- Add 300 ml of milk
- Add the flour
- Mix them good together I used a fork to whisk/stir but you can also put everything in a blender but again so much work when doing the dishes
- Butter your pan
- Pour in dough
- Let it bake for a couple of minutes on each side. I just checked if it wasn't burning by lifting my pancake with the spatula and when it looked about ready i turned it around with my spatula. I recommend not to use the highest stand to bake because it would burn before it's completely ready and when you try to turn when the dough isn't completely dry on the top yet it goes everywhere and becomes messy.
Special additions :

- You can eat this with whatever you like, you can also bake some fruit first and then trowing your dough on top of it and you'll have fruity pancakes
- I personally like it with a paste of white chocolate on top. When you put it on it will melt a bit and it's just delicious
- The site http://weheartit.com has given me the inspiration to mix in sprinkles or chocolate chips but I haven't tried that yet
- You get about 5 maybe 6 pancakes of a centimeter thick pancakes with a diameter of 15 centimeters and trust me one is enough for each person
- The dough stays good for at least 3 days ( I know because I couldn't possibly ate them in one day and ate 1 pancake each day and have eaten 3 by now)
Well I hope you liked this recipe, let me know in the comments if you tried it.

What's on my face #2 - Festival edition

Hi Lovelies,

Today I'm doing a festival what's on my face post. While your at a festival you actually don't need make up, let's be honest here. But I still took some with me and treated myself in the morning with a dash of make-up. I certainly did not do this every day or at least less excessively than other days. Actually putting on this much make-up was pointless because it was sooo hot and half an our later is probably was all gone due to sweating.

Okay so what did I do?

I started off by putting solait spf 50 sunscreen for sensitive skin on my face. The sun was shining all the time so this was definitely necessary. Afterwards I rubbed my gosh BB cream on my face because this had some extra spf in it and a little extra colour is always nice. Even though it probably didn't stay. When all of that was dry I picked up a little travel size brush and put bronzer in the hollows of my cheeks. I used the essence sunclub bronzer for blond hair and light skin. On the apples of my cheeks I used Sleek's Rose Gold blush.  Those 3 steps can easily be skipped on a festival. The only thing that I really do need is mascara I used a cheap catrice one for volume and length and I swiped some eyeliner on my upperlashline. I used an essence long lasting one and this one really doesn't budge. You can top it off with some lipstick if you want to. I chose a red one from the bourjois shine collection. It's kind of a sheer colour and isn't that high maintenance so perfect for casual occasions such as festivals.

I hope you guys liked this short post after all my excessive long ones

You're not a stop along the way. You are a destination.

Hi lovelies,

A couple of days ago I uploaded an outfit of the day post about me but that same day my girlfriend was wearing something amazing too. She often wears pretty things of course. She has a great style and manages to combine things that I would never think off and it always looks good. She even gives great advice when I feel that something is missing from my outfit even though we have different styles. She doesn't really like to be in pictures but I kinda forced her and I love the pictures. So sorry darling but I'm putting them into a post. Everything she wore was from H&M but the mens section.

Kiss me if I'm wrong but dinosaurs do still exist right?

Hi lovelies,

Quick extra post again. It's exam time and yet I blog even more. That doesn't make sense. My mother made a cake a few days back and I snapped some pictures of the masterpiece. It was just a vanilla cake but we had a lovely tin. When my brother was little he loved dinosaurs and my mother found this little gem. Have look, I would say a taste but that's not possible.

The result dinocake.

Attack life, it's going to kill you anyways

Hi lovelies,

It's finally happening I'm making time to do my Dour-experience post!!! This is probably less exciting for you as it is for me. Prepare yourselves, this will be another long post.

after we arrived we set up our tents and walked around the campingsite. The next morning we walked(like thousands of other people) to a nearby store for water because it was ridiculously hot. We walked past a carwash and people were actually showering there because the lines at the camping were so long. The creativity of some people baffles me.
Testing out my color hairsprays
To protect my girlfriend from a sunstroke I got her a free jupiler cowboy hat and doesn't she look amazing in it? I could never pull that off.
The colorfull skinpaints I forgot to include in my what i bought post, Ghii she is sooo pretty
Eventhough it are just lamps, doesn't it look like lava in this picture?
Booze
Outfit of the day - nearly everyday I just wore a sloachy top with a short black skirt and in the evening I put on a black sweater and knee-high black socks because it got colder
Say hellooo to my little friend. Because of the heath there was a lot of dust and eventhough I showered that day this was how dirty I got a couple hours later
One of the men that kept talking to us and eventhough I would want to cut him out of the picture, he is part of the inside joke/memory
Anais was in a strange mood and started collecting leaves to *ahum* 'make tea'  It was funny though even when she was deadly serious at the moment
If you collected a bag full of trash you got a free drink, obviously these people got a few. We started doing it but the next day when we came back to our tent somebody had already stolen our bag, yes people actually stole our trash wich is the weirdest thing, they even sorted it out, things that weren't plastic they threw out of the bag.
The best veggie food
Shower lines and this is just part of it
Soap sliding at the coca cola stand
Booze and water, you have got to keep hydrated when the temperatures rise above 30 degrees.
Outfit of the day
My girlfriend started to get a natural ombre effect thanks to the sun
Yes the blue was the stage... Yes untill there it was jampacked full of people
People everywhere, it was full on madness. You could even walk anymore
It was so hot that when the sun came out around 7 AM it was so hot you had to crawl out of your tent but by that time you hadn't slept enough so if you were fast enough you could get your ass over to the road where there were a couple of trees, meaning shadow and sleep further there. As you can see lots of people followed this idea and every inch of shaduw was fully consumed.
knee socks
These pictures who will follow now weren't taken by me so I don't own the credits. I downloaded them from the dour festival website where you can also find who shot these pictures
During a challenge to win one of the nikon hats
Taking a moustache picture at the ING stand, this one didn't turned out so great
I had a great time, exactly what you need to escape reality for a while. There are still one or 2 DOUR posts in my head but we'll see about that.
Goodbyeeee
